Challenge has many Special Olympics stars enrolled in our programming and working for us directly. This summer, we formed a contingent of volunteers in order to give back to this important organization and support the athletes in our lives. It was an amazing weekend and we are looking forward to the next Special Olympics event! For many years, Challenge Contract Staffing has been meeting the contract staffing needs of prominent educational institutions in Tompkins County, while providing on-the-job training and career paths for people with barriers to employment.
Our fully supervised crews deliver hundreds of shifts per week to cover dish rooms and other dining room responsibilities for our customers. When they engage our Contract Staffing business, customers know their dish rooms are running safely and efficiently, and other staffing needs are being fulfilled.

Building Local Relationships
It’s great to be able to build relationships with local entities as we place workers in various jobs throughout our community. On a weekly basis, Challenge staff support over 100 workers with disabilities at between 60 and 70 different employers in Tompkins County. We work with the largest employers in the community, major corporate franchises and also many small, family-owned businesses. Our staff place and support clients working in almost every vocational field out there, from retail and food service, to manufacturing, education and healthcare. If an employer is hiring people in Tompkins County, there is a good chance we work with them. And if not, we are definitely interested in getting to know them.
