2007 Not-For-Profit of the Year
Challenge was recently honored with the Tompkins County Chamber of Commerce’s 2007 “Not-For-Profit of the Year” award, given in recognition of outstanding success and ongoing organizational growth.
The Chamber's Awards Program celebrates organizations for innovation, growth, support of the community, and fulfillment of their missions. Challenge President Patrick McKee was specifically praised for his entrepreneurial vision, in recognition of his leadership role in the acquisition of the hydroponics greenhouse that is now Challenge’s Finger Lakes Fresh business enterprise.In accepting the award, Patrick said, “Although my name is engraved on this plaque, it should really include the names of the entire hardworking Challenge staff. Our success is a true collaborative effort.” All of us at Challenge are committed to continuing the level of service to our clients that earned this 2007 “Not-For-Profit of the Year” recognition.
