Who do we provide employment services to?
Individuals who:
- have a developmental disability
- have a cognitive impairment including learning disabilities & traumatic brain injury
- have hearing or vision loss
- have a physical disability
- have a mental health issue including severe & persistent mental illness (SPMI)
- have a substance abuse diagnosis
- are high school students with physical or emotional disabilities
- are family assistance recipients
- are non-custodial parents or adults below 200% poverty level
How do they come to us for employment services?
Referrals come from:
- Self referral
- Vocational & Educational Services for Individuals with Disabilities (VESID)
- Tompkins County Mental Health (TCMH)
- Outpatient Clinic
- Continuing Day Treatment (Skylight)
- Community Support Services
- Lakeview residential services
- Unity House residential services
- Area high schools
- BOCES
- Department of Social Services
- Employment Unit
- Adult Protective Services
- Mental Health Association of Tompkins County
- Family & Children’s Services
- Individual therapists
- Starlight Peer Advocacy Center for Empowerment (SPACE)
