Challenge has many Special Olympics stars enrolled in our programming and working for us directly. This summer, we formed a contingent of volunteers in order to give back to this important organization and support the athletes in our lives. It was an amazing weekend and we are looking forward to the next Special Olympics event! Supporting Local Businesses
and Job Seekers
It’s great to be able to build relationships with local entities as we place workers in various jobs throughout our community. For example, we support Cornell College’s Building Care and Dining Services by supplying teams of custodians and dishwashers, and are always in search of people who would like to get their foot in the door! This academic year, we’ve been able to provide contract staff with the opportunity for year-round employment and benefits for the first time. We also provide transportation within Ithaca proper and even throw in a meal!
